On the May 25th episode of SBS’s variety show Running Man, (G)I-DLE members Miyeon and Soyeon made a memorable appearance that captivated both the studio and viewers.
The duo participated in a mafia game and a mukbang mission, showing great chemistry throughout the challenges. During the mafia game, Miyeon caught attention with a playful wink. Actor Choi Daniel expressed his excitement, saying, “Even though it’s a game, I feel good receiving a wink from Miyeon.” He added humorously, “When Miyeon turned around and winked at me, it looked really slow,” revealing his ‘uncle fan’ side and making everyone laugh.
While the cast admired Miyeon’s stunning visuals, they were even more impressed by her talent. Soyeon joked, “Miyeon actually doesn’t really dance,” and when asked if Miyeon was mainly chosen for her looks, she firmly replied, “No, she’s the main vocalist. Visual main vocalist.” This sparked surprise among the members, who said things like, “She sings well with that face?” and “Usually, people with that face can’t sing,” showing their admiration. Soyeon then called Miyeon “a total cheat character.”
The mukbang mission revealed another side of Miyeon’s charm. When she started dancing energetically, the members reacted with amazement: “So she likes dancing!” and “I can see she dances well now!” Soyeon added with a laugh, “I thought she was just a visual because she’s pretty, but Miyeon is the main vocalist. Stop being so pretty!”
Miyeon’s blend of striking visuals and genuine talent shone brightly on Running Man, leaving a strong impression as a true main vocalist.
