College basketball star Hunter Dickinson has officially graduated.
The former Michigan Wolverines and Kansas Jayhawks big man earned a master’s degree in sports management from Kansas last weekend. At 24 years old, Dickinson’s college career spanned seven years of eligibility, leading to jokes that he might play college basketball forever. Embracing the humor, Dickinson even joked about it in an ad where he created a LinkedIn profile to prepare for his post-basketball career.
Dickinson was a standout player throughout his time in college. He earned three All-Big Ten honors and two All-Big 12 honors. He was also a two-time All-American and one of the top big men in college basketball over the past five years. During his three seasons at Michigan (from 2020-21 to 2022-23), he averaged 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. He shot 57.0% from the field, 36.0% from three-point range, and 75.3% from the free-throw line.
After Michigan, Dickinson transferred to Kansas, where he played the past two seasons (2023-24 and 2024-25). At Kansas, he averaged 17.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. His shooting percentages were 53.7% from the field, 31.7% from three, and 69.0% from the free-throw line.
Last season, Kansas finished with a 21-13 record. They earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament but were eliminated in the first round by No. 10 seed Arkansas.
