Walton Goggins made a playful remark about The White Lotus season 3 during his debut on Saturday Night Live, amid rumors of a rift with costar Aimee Lou Wood.
The 53-year-old actor hosted the comedy show on May 10, with Arcade Fire as the musical guest.
In his monologue, Goggins joked, “Most of you probably know me from The White Lotus. No spoilers, but I die.”
Though he avoided mentioning Wood or their rumored feud, Goggins continued discussing his character. He described Rick as “brooding” and noted, “the internet seemed to find that attractive.” He added, “Some of my friends have even asked me, ‘What does it feel like to become a sex symbol at 53?’ And you know what? Honestly, it feels fantastic.”
But the good feeling didn’t last long. Goggins admitted, “At least it did, until I Googled myself and read some of the headlines,” pointing out articles that focused on his “receding hairline” and “bulging eyes.”
Rumors about a feud between Goggins and Wood began when fans noticed they had blocked each other on Instagram. However, at the Met Gala, Wood spoke fondly of Goggins, saying she “loved” working with him. Soon after, the two started following each other on Instagram again.
