Jason Kelce’s daughters are enjoying a comfortable life.
On a recent episode of his podcast New Heights with his brother Travis Kelce, the former NFL player shared that he had just opened the pool in his backyard for the summer. While talking with Travis, one of his daughters interrupted to ask if he was going to use the pool that day.
“Am I going in the pool today? Yes. I turned the heater on. The pool will not be cold,” Jason said to his daughter. Then, he turned to Travis and the microphone and joked, “F—— bougie.”
Travis teased him, saying, “Well, that’s what happens if you raise those suburban kids, Jason.”
Jason agreed and added, “You’re right. I told Kylie we should have raised them in West Philly, but she said, ‘There’s no chance.’”
Travis responded, “Oh yeah. That’s how you get cultured right there.”
Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce have four daughters: Wyatt, 5; Bennett, 4; Elliotte, 2; and Finnley, who was born in March.
At the Amazon Upfront red carpet event in May, Jason spoke to Entertainment Tonight. He was asked if Travis’s girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, had met his youngest daughter Finnley.
“She has. We were lucky to have them all visit,” Jason said. “It doesn’t happen often because everyone is busy. But it was really special.”
At the same event, Jason talked with PEOPLE about how his older daughters are adjusting to having a new baby sister.
“They’re getting there,” he said. “The older two liked it right away. They enjoy trying to be like mom and like being around the newborn.”
He added, “Our youngest, Benny, took some time to warm up, but she’s starting to get there. That’s been good.”
In an April episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, Kylie explained how they chose the name Finnley “Finn” for their new baby.
“This saga is officially over,” Kylie said. “For those upset that the name doesn’t have two t’s, I warned you. It was a journey. For the first 24 hours, she didn’t have a name. We talked to trusted people about names but didn’t use any of the options we discussed.”
She continued, “Her name is Finnley Anne Kelce, and we plan to call her Finn for short. Finn wasn’t one of the names we shared with others, but it came back because it was once a top choice for Elliotte. Since we had to name four girls, we decided to borrow a name from an earlier list.”
